Peel Slough or Rob's Chamber

This is a narrow inlet running east to west and found directly below and to the south of The Targets. You will find many map references, old and new, to Peel Slough however you won’t see any mention of Rob’s Chamber and its not a name I’ve heard being used in the past however I am in possession of a local map drawn in 1857 (prior to the first Ordnance Survey map drawn in the following decade) and there it is in plain English…...Rob’s Chamber. On that early map there was no mention of Peel Slough.
