The first major cliff, crevasse, inlet, cave (call it
what you want) is found about 150 yards southwest of Findon Ness – this
landmark appears to be unnamed and is only listed on Ordnance Survey
maps as “Cave”. I’m positive that at some point in the past this area
had a name known to local sea or land fishers and I’m interested to know
what it was. If anyone can fill me in on this major blank I would
appreciate it. Somehow “Cave” doesn’t quite cut it as a recognisable
name.
