A Postscript on Rocks

The Knaps separate Cammachmore Bay from Downies Haven. They are a series of humps that run seaward from west to east. You can find puffins nesting on the eastern and northern edges of these landmarks. This area is also a good viewing area to look north, east and south from and a perfect place to view dolphins if they are in the area. There is a path that leads across the ridge of the Knaps however care should be taken because there is a precipitous drop of about 80 – 100 feet on the northern side.
