A Postscript on Rocks

Like Harley Hacket, Donald’s Delvings appears on the early Ordnance Survey maps and I believe that the area it covers are the slopes and banks leading down to Tam Milne’s Shore and Little Broad Shore.

Who is Donald? No idea. What are Delvings? Some sort of exploration? Digging into something? Rummaging or Searching? Anyway there are no clues as to who Donald was and the only thing that comes close to “Delvings” in this area is the “mappy” burrows that can be found on the grassy slopes.
