Once again this name is a recent discovery of an old
name. I always knew that this large islet found in middle of the bay
offshore Little Broad Shore would or should have a name but for many
years none of us knew what it was and the only surprising thing is that
we didn’t invent one of our own for it. There’s nothing remarkable about
the Ram Stone other than it being a noticeable landmark islet at the
outer portion of the bay.
In the 1970’s a pair of Black Backed Gulls nested
regularly on this islet.
