A Postscript on Rocks

This name is a recent discovery but is actually an old name from midway through the 19th century. It actually sounds more like an industrial site or part of a modern harbour that an old name for a group of rocks but there you are. We actually called this group of rocks the “Tide Rocks” because it was possible to look from a bedroom window in our house and be able to tell if the tide was in or out by how much of the rocks were showing above the surface of the water – a very high tide would just about cover them entirely.
