The Kincardineshire
coast has a wealth of bird life and contains one of the best known areas
for viewing seabirds at the Nature Reserve at Fowlsheugh, south of
Stonehaven. Whilst Portlethen can’t claim to compete with the number of
birds viewable at Fowlsheugh or have the same number of nest sites, all
the birds that can be seen at the reserve can be seen around the coast
at Downies, Portlethen and Findon.
