So, what about some local tee-names? I have a list of house numbers for the OLD village of Portlethen and it lists some of the names of the local people that used to stay here since the late 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. Have a look at the illustration to see where the houses were located in the village at the time (around 1900). Unfortunately all house numbers are not illustrated because some of the houses had already been demolished or had fallen into disrepair as the 1800's progresed.
